Humans, or no humans?
Now to today’s topic: people in 3D visualizations. In contrast to real estate photography and architectural photography, people are often used as decoration in 3D visualizations.
As an architect, you learn that you should draw a person in views in order to show the proportions (a larger person for the building application, for the sales views he is scaled down again ;-)). But what does this mean for sales? If I mainly use older people, the prospective buyer will think that children are not wanted because the pensioners will complain about the noise. If I use children, the pensioners who want to buy will think that there is constant noise. And all this without knowing who the new neighbors are. The same of course applies to any decoration you put in, be it cars or furniture.
That’s why you should think beforehand about which group of buyers the pictures are intended for and what I want to portray with them. Here are 3 pictures showing a project once without people, once with children playing and once with people discreetly visible.
